Chat B.I.B.L.E is an offline-first Bible-reading application with an optional, user-initiated Ask AI feature. It does not require a Chat B.I.B.L.E account and does not contain advertising, analytics, or third-party crash reporting. Tablet Pro does not collect or sell personal information through the app.
The application stores reading preferences locally through Windows application settings. These preferences may include the selected translation, theme, verse-text size, chapter-heading size, scrolling-sound preference and volume, and paste-countdown length. Chat B.I.B.L.E does not transmit these preferences.
If a user configures Ask AI, the user’s OpenAI API key is stored in Windows Credential Manager rather than in the application files or executable. The key can be removed at any time in Reading settings. AI questions and answers are not saved as a Chat B.I.B.L.E history.
The Bible text, translation notes, and source metadata are embedded in the application for offline reading. Scripture text searches are performed locally and are not sent to a server.
Ask AI is used only after the user selects AI mode and submits a question. For that request, Chat B.I.B.L.E sends the question, current book and chapter, current chapter text, any selected passage, and up to six matching Bible verses to the OpenAI API. The user’s personal OpenAI API key is sent to OpenAI as authorization.
The app asks OpenAI not to store the response by setting store to false. OpenAI may still process or retain API data according to the user’s OpenAI account settings and OpenAI’s applicable policies. Chat B.I.B.L.E does not send ordinary reading activity or offline Scripture-search queries to OpenAI.
Ask AI requires an OpenAI API account and an Internet connection. API usage and billing are separate from a ChatGPT subscription. Users can avoid all network transmission by leaving Ask AI unconfigured or by using Scripture Search mode only.
When a user chooses to copy or transfer a verse, the selected Bible text and reference are placed on the Windows clipboard. A right-click, double-click, or deliberate horizontal transfer gesture can start a visible countdown before the application sends a standard paste command to the active field.
Chat B.I.B.L.E does not retain, inspect, or transmit content already present in the clipboard or destination application. The destination application’s own privacy practices apply after text is pasted there.
Chat B.I.B.L.E does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ask AI should be configured and supervised by the OpenAI account holder.
If a future release changes how information is handled or adds another network service, this policy will be updated before that release is published.
