I have years of research and over a decade of using a variety of digital stylus in my personal work, (have 20 plus different stylus next to me as I write this) so I am confident that my opinion is both very informed and educated on digital pens for art and note taking. My review for the Raphael 5 came out last year in September (2019). Version 2 of the stylus and 4 months later I started selling the stylus in January of 2020. The manufacturer is great to work with and have the best support I’ve EVER gotten with a company. Absolutely love them. If you get a defective stylus (rare) they will expedite a new one with express shipping immediately and I’ll be the one you talk with in order to do that.

Line quality varies from program to program. In most programs the R520 matches the default Surface Pen, exceeds quality in other programs and may be slightly worse in others.

The R520 (Renaisser Raphael 520 stylus) is a Windows Ink / Ntrig / Surface Pen alternative stylus. This means that it will work on ALL devices that support the Surface Pen. Please keep in mind that wacom based devices will not work with this stylus. Please check with your manufacturer of your device to see if the Surface Pen will work on it. We do NOT recommend the R520 stylus on devices that don’t support Microsoft’s 2.0 Pen Protocol that includes support for tilt data. That means that devices like the Surface Pro 3 may not work well with the R520 stylus. However, updating the pen drivers may resolve issues
